Our journalism students are hard at work on the 2026 Yamparika Yearbook, and here is a deadline local businesses and parents of senior students need to be aware of. Local businesses who would like to support the 2026 Yamparika Yearbook have until Jan. 23 to purchase an ad to run in the yearbook. That Jan. 23 deadline is also the last date for parents to purchase senior yearbook ads. To purchase a business ad or a senior ad, please scan the QR code below or go to www.yearbookforever.com

The newly-elected officers for the group are President Chloe Diekmann; Vice-President Annabell Rodriguez; Treasurer Kylie Pauly; Secretary Jacklyn Maldonado; and Historian Lucia Garcia. Members of the group have already begun service projects and preparations for competitive events. Mrs. Audrey Hastings is the FCCLA sponsor.

Fans attending our Middle School and High School basketball games will soon be seeing this flyer posted around the concession stand. The Wilbarger Health Coalition has started a Healthier Concessions Project aimed at assisting local school districts in offering healthier food options in their concession stands. This is not an attempt to remove the candy and soda that everyone loves from the concession stands, but for the concession stands to add healthier options for families supporting our area teams. Vernon ISD wants to know what healthier food options our Lady Lions' and Lions' fans would consider purchasing if available at the concession stand. To take the Coalition survey, please scan the QR code below or go to https://forms.gle/L8T8Ay5p6zDKB3NV6
